What is a Custom GPT?

A custom GPT,  is a specialized AI model that you can create on ChatGPT to perform specific tasks and add specific additional information (current limit is 500 pages). You can create a tailored prompt and instructions, add additional documentation and a knowledge base.

(make sure to remove personal data)

  • Client email assistant

  • Adverse counsel assistant

  • Prospective client call prep

  • Each client matter could have its own GTP

  • Billing and invoice chasers

Steps to Create a Custom GPT (example provided - EU AI Act Compliance)

Creating a custom GPT to assess product compliance with the EU AI Act involves several steps. Here’s how I did it, and you can follow the same process:

- Here’s the GTP https://chatgpt.com/g/g-WEmzoppOX-eu-ai-compliance-analyzer

1. Create a New Custom GPT
    - Open ChatGPT: I logged in to my ChatGPT account.
    - Create a New GPT: I navigated to the option to create a new custom GPT.

2. Upload Relevant Information
    - Upload Documents: I uploaded the text of the act.
    - Add Custom Instructions: I provided detailed instructions on how the GPT should process the information, such as "Review the uploaded documents and assess the compliance of a given product based on the criteria outlined in the EU AI Act."

3. Define the Assessment Criteria
    - List Compliance Criteria: I clearly defined the compliance criteria the GPT should use, including data protection requirements, transparency obligations, and risk management protocols.
    - Use Examples: I will provide examples of compliant and non-compliant products to help the GPT understand the application at a later stage however this is good practice when you have this information to hand.

4. Test and Refine Your GPT
    - Initial Testing: I ran initial tests by inputting descriptions of products and reviewing the GPT's assessments.
    - Refine Instructions: I adjusted the instructions and criteria as necessary based on the GPT's performance to ensure accurate and relevant outputs.

Implement and Use

  • Integrate into Workflow: for assessing product compliance.

  • Continuous Updates: regularly update the GPT with new information and guidelines as the EU AI Act evolves and more compliance data becomes available.
